Hey everyone! How is your week going? It’s been really, really busy around here. We had Charlie’s 5th birthday, I’m getting ready for my May Card Class which is a Retirement Party for some of my favorite retiring products, purging out retiring stamps and accessories, and getting things ready for my new studio. Yikes! That’s a lot! So today I made cute little treat holders for my class attendees on Saturday. My card classes are on the 4th Saturday of the month and this month it just happened to fall on Memorial Day Weekend….so the treat holders are red, white and blue themed. I will post those Saturday afternoon. They are so stinking cute!! After I was done with those I was putting things away and found an extra card packet leftover from my new team members get together last Saturday. I decide to put it together but with a few tweaks. Here are the measurements for my card:

• Card base in Thick Whisper White cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
• Petal Pink cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
• Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
• Magnolia Lane DSP cut at 2″ x 5″

I have to say that this designer series paper is gorgeous!!! I have a serious paper addiction…no wonder I have 8 unopened packs of paper from the retiring catalog!! 🙂 To create this I glued the DSP to the Whisper White layer, then both to the Petal Pink layer. Then I added some of that new gorgeous Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon and then glued it all down to the card base. On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the swirls image in Petal Pink ink and the sentiment in Early Espresso and punched it out with the 2″ Circle Punch. I glued that to a Petal Pink starburst, added dimensionals and glued it to the card front. This paper just screams to have some pearls added, so you know I did.

For the inside I stamped the swirl image again, this time at the bottom of the card and then added the sentiment in Early Espresso. I love the fonts of this stamp set, they are just so elegant.
