Hey everyone! I hope you had a great Mother’s Day yesterday. Ours was low key, which is a good thing after how hectic it’s been around here. Today I wanted to showcase the Garden Girl stamp set which is retiring. I think this stamp set is so cute. It was actually created for to use with the Stampin’ Blends. When I use it and color the images,  it reminds me of color books when I was a kid. Here are the measurements of my card:

  • Card base in Rich Razzleberry cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Bermuda Bay layer cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Naturally Eclectic DSP layer cut at 5″ x 3 3/4″ (retired and out of stock)
  • Bermuda Bay layer cut at 4 3/8″ x 3 1/8″
  • Thick Whisper White cut at 4 1/2″ x 3″
  • Whisper White strip cut at 3/8″ x 3 1/2″

I used a scrap piece of Thick Whisper White for the the stamped image and stamped the girl with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I colored her with the Stampin’ Blends markers. I can’t wait to get the new colors that are coming out in the new catalog! I used the Crumb Cake Combo pack for her hair, but just wasn’t happy with the results, so I added some of the Bronze. I used Ivory for her skin, the Bermuda Bay combo for her dress, Light Pool Party for her bows, cuffs, pockets and collar. I used the Rich Razzleberry color combo for the boots, Pumpkin Pie for the carrots, Smoky Slate for the basket and Dark Old Olive for the carrot greenery. Then I used the Light Crumb Cake for the dirt. I thought it looked rather plain, so I used the spots from the Sheltering Tree stamp set and stamped in Crumb Cake ink to create pavers. I took a scrap piece of Whisper White and stamped one of the sentiments from the Sheltering Tree in Rich Razzleberry ink and flagged the ends. I adhered all the layers together. Before I adhered the DSP and Bermuda Bay layers to the card front, I tied a piece of the Bermuda Bay stitched satin ribbon around it and into a knot. I have always loved this ribbon and still have all the colors Stampin’ Up! has ever released. When I added the stamped image layer, I popped it up with dimensionals, added the sentiment strip with more dimensionals and rhinestones on her dress and pig tails. I love it!

Now if the Garden Girl stamp set is on your wish list, it’s still available, but it is on a while supplies last status. The DSP, however, sadly is not. If you like to order, just head over to my online store. When you place an order using Hostess Code 3JQ9N9HR, I’ll send you a pack of handmade cards, if your order is $40.00 or more, I’ll include an embellishment.

Thanks for topping by and be sure to come back tomorrow for another CASE-ing Tuesday.
