Hey everyone! How’s your week going? I wanted to share another project using the Gingham Gala DSP and I have to say, this was one of the fastest cards I’ve put together in awhile. I’m pretty sure I tend to over think things sometimes and that’s what takes me so long! lol Here are the measurements for today’s card:

  • Card base in Night of Navy cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Gingham Gala DSP cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ for the inside

I decided to go with one of our older stamp sets that I thought goes perfectly with gingham, the Daisy Delight stamp set. We get so excited for the new Occasions Catalog that we forget about the items in the Annual Catalog. To get started, I stamped the daisy in Night of Navy ink twice and punched them both out with the coordinating punch. I glued them together with a Mini Glue Dot. I cut the DSP and stamped the the sentiment in Night of Navy ink on the bottom. Then I added the piece of Night of Navy gingham ribbon just above the sentiment and tied a knot. Before I added the daisies with a dimensional, I curled the petals a little with my fingers so that it really gave the flower dimension. Then I added one of the Gold Faceted Gems in the center. For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the Whisper White layer in Night of Navy and the flower in Daffodil Delight ink.

I think it definitely qualifies as a sweet and simple card, don’t you think? And you know it’s using my favorite color combination!
