Happy Monday everyone! This week we will be looking at the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper. Talk about the look of spring and summer! I LOVE this DSP! It is just such happy paper and I had to show it off some. Here are the measurements for today’s project:
- Card base in Daffodil Delight cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Gingham Gala DSP cut at 1″ x 5 1/2″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 4 1/4″ and 1″ x 5 1/2″ punched
Since we had so much snow, rain and gray skies over the last few days, I knew I needed some sunshine so that’s why I chose to go with the Daffodil Delight gingham. When I think of gingham I always associate lace with it, not sure why, but I do. So when I found the strip for this card I thought the perfect compliment was a strip of Whisper White punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border punch. I glued them together and then to the card base. Next I grabbed a scrap piece of Whisper White and stamped the hibiscus from the Humming Along stamp set. I colored it using the Lovely Lipstick, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Then I added some Wink of Stella to the petals. Next I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set and adhered it to the card front. Clean and simple card, my favorite!
