Hey everyone! Happy New Year’s Eve Eve! I can’t believe the holidays are almost over. That whole thing about “time flies when you’re having fun” is so true!! I’ve been retired from my state job 6 months today and I have to say, the last 6 months have flown by! I have been loving life now that my stamping business is my full time job. When they say that if you do something you love you’ll never work a day in your life is true! This is definitely my dream “job”!
I’ve been playing with some of the new product coming out in January. There are so many amazing items and birthdays are huge!! In this day and age of sending text messages or post a quick happy birthday message on Facebook, what better way to be different then to send a handmade card? Anyone can go out and buy a card for anywhere up to $8.00, but why do that when you can personalize a card and give that person a piece of you? You don’t have to be creative either. Stampin’ Up! does all the work for you, especially with the new birthday card kit that is also in the catalog. So easy!
So this card was created for some of my January birthdays. I thought the new Cool Treats Suite is just too cute. I love how Stampin’ Up! showcases items in suites so that it makes it so easy to see exactly what you need to create gorgeous projects. This suite has a package of specialty designer series paper that is so stinking cute that I just had to use it now. And since I love ice cream, I knew that I wanted to get the Cool Treats Bundle, which saves you 10% by purchasing it as a bundle. You get the Frozen Treats Framelits and the Cool Treats Stamp set included in the bundle. You can create so many ice cream projects with this set, all of them absolutely adorable!! That little spoon framelit is just so stinking cute!! And the little topping framelit is the perfect touch. Who doesn’t love hot fudge sundaes?? And those sprinkles? I used them as bling on the card. These would make the cutest shaker card for a birthday! See how cute they are up close? They come in different shapes and colors, including those tiny pearls. Love them!
I hope you like the card. I think 2017 is going to be the year for birthday cards! What better kind of party than a birthday party? Be sure to check back tomorrow for another new project and a look at some of my favorites from 2016. Have a great day!
