Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. This week’s Facebook Live project is actually one we created at my Catalog Launch Event this past weekend. Were you able to catch the live? If not, you can watch the replay over on my YouTube Channel here. While you are there, I would love it if you liked and shared the video and please subscribe to my channel if you haven’t yet. So here’s a look at the card.

Isn’t that a pretty card? And it is just so fun to create! Here are the measurements:

  • Card base in Night of Navy cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2′, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Pool Party cardstock 2 cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White cardstock 2 cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Vellum die cut with largest circle die
  • Basic White die cut with Stitched So Sweetly die
  • Night of Navy cardstock punched with Bough Punch

This is actually a pretty simple card, but with a lot of dimensional elements. I started by trimming and die cutting all of the elements. This is such a pretty stamp set. The images are a part of the “distinktive” style of images. That means the image is created to stamp different depths of ink with only one stamped image. Very cool!! I started by stamping one of the white layers. I started by inking the larger image in Pool Party ink and stamping in one corner and then immediately stamping either to the left or to the right without reinking. I then repeated that on the opposite corner so that you essentially are stamping all four corners. I then attached this layer to one of the Pool Party layers and then attached both to the card base. I then stamped my sentiment in Night of Navy ink on the stitched label. I added some Stampin’ Seal adhesive to the back of the label and attached the two punched leaves to the adhesive and then added it to the vellum circle. I attached all to the card front with dimensionals. Next I tied a bow in my very favorite ribbon in the Annual Catalog, the Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon. I added it to the lower leaf with a Mini Glue Dot and then added two of the new Brushed Brass Butterflies (say that 3x fast!! lol) for my bling. I LOVE these butterflies! They are perfect for those cards you are mailing because they are so flat!

For the inside, I stamped the smaller flower in Pool Party ink in the corners, stamping off first, to mimic the card front. The sentiment is then stamped in Night of Navy ink. I then attached the layers together and then added them to the inside of the card.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! It just brings the whole project together. I used the largest image from the set and stamped it in Pool Party ink.
