Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I know last week I told you I wasn’t going to have a Facebook Live, but SURPRISE! I was able to squeeze one in!! Hooray! I love it when I can do that!! Were you able to watch it live? If not, you can catch the replay on my YouTube Channel here. While you’re there, I would love it if you would like and share my video and of course, subscribe to my channel if you haven’t done so already. So I have a confession….today’s project is another card from our Stampin’ Bingo class a couple of weeks ago. 😉 But hey, I just had to share this one cuz it’s so stinking cute!!
Here are the measurements for today’s card:
- Card base in Pale Papaya cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/2″
- Basic White cardstock 2 cut at 3 1/4″ x 8 1/4″
- Pattern Party DSP cut at 2 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ You can get this paper for FREE!!!
I have to say that this year’s new In Colors are some of my very favorite colors! And they all go to gether so well! So, as you can see, I’m really loving the slimline cards! This one is super simple to make too. After I cut the papers to the above sizes, I attached the piece of DSP (did I mention you can get this paper for FREE???) at the bottom of one of the Basic White layers. I then stamped the sentiment just above the DSP in the new Evening Evergreen in. I then stamped the flowers, also in Evening Evergreen and then colored it with the Soft Succulent and Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends Markers. I love our alcohol markers! They make coloring so fun!! I like to use the dark blends to highlight the drawn lines in the image and then blend with the light marker.Once I was done coloring, I added the the piece of the Evening Evergreen ribbon over the seam of the DSP and then attaching all to the card base. I then took a piece of white Baker’s Twine and tied a bow around the ribbon and sprinkled on some Champagne Rhinestones.
For the inside I stamped the same flower image in Pale Papaya ink, stamping off first, and then the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink right on top.
Don’t forget the envelope! In class we stamped the length of flower images in the Evening Evergreen ink and colored them with the Pale Papaya ink, but in my video I covered the flap with some of the same DSP.
Here’s the card from today’s video. I definitely like this one better! What do you think?
