Hey everyone! How is your Monday going? It’s been a Monday around here so it makes me even more thankful to have some time in my studio! I wanted to share a wedding card I made over the weekend.
When we first got the invitation I thought it was just gorgeous and I even commented to my husband that we had a stamp set like this. I knew then that I wanted to create something that was really personalized for the couple using that stamp and die set. Here’s a look at their invitation:
Isn’t it beautiful? I love how Stampin’ Up! colors just coordinate with everything in life! Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Night of Navy cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Crumb Cake cardstock cut with the 2 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ die and 4″ x 5 1/4″ for the inside
- Whisper White cardstock cut with the 2 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ die and 3 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside
I started with a Night of Navy card base and then cut out my two Stitched Nested dies, one in Crumb Cake and one in Whisper White. Next I stamped a couple of the leaves with stems in Mint Macaron ink and a couple of the little spider buds in Night of Navy, stamping off on one of them, and then cut them all out with the coordinating dies. Next I cut out a set of leaves in Mint Macaron and a set in Shaded Spruce. I used a sponge dauber to add some of the Shaded Spruce ink to the Mint Macaron leaves to help tone them down some. Next I cut out two of the sprigs from the die set in Gold Glimmer Paper. Then I glued them all together using Mini Glue Dots and dimensionals on the back and added Wink of Stella to all of it for shimmer. I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set in Night of Navy ink on the Whisper White label. This stamp set has some very nice sentiments for weddings and anniversaries. Once the sentiment was stamped, I glued the two labels together like the original invitation and then glued them to the card base. Next I added the two sets of flowers to the card front with dimensionals. To add even more gold, I added some of the Metallic Pearls in gold.
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment, also from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set in Night of Navy. Next I stamped the stems and buds in Mint Macaron and Night of Navy, stamping off first so that the sentiment stood out more. I layered the Whisper White to the Crumb Cake layer, then glued them both to the inside of the card.
