Welcome to my Facebook Live post! Today’s project is a fun fold card using the Timeless Tropical bundle and that gorgeous Tropical Oasis DSP. Did you catch the live version on my Facebook Page? If not, you can watch the replay here. Please be sure to like and share my video with everyone. I love fun fold cards, but they can be a little overwhelming in a class, so I like to showcase them here.

Here are the measurements for this card:

  • card base in Mango Melody cut at 4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Whisper White cardstock, 3 cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 2 cut at 2″ x 2 1/2″
  • Mango Melody cardstock, 1 cut at 1 3/4″ x 11″, scored at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″ and 4 cut at 2 1/4″ x 2 3/4″
  • Tropical Oasis DSP cut at 2″ x 5 1/4″ and 2 cut at 2″ x 2 1/2″

After you cut all of your layers, you’ll want to die cut that cut pineapple. It cuts in 2 pieces, one for the stem and one for the body. Then I glued that to a piece of Daffodil Delight and then cut it out so that it shows through all the little cut outs of the pineapple. Then I sponged on some Old Olive ink on both pieces to give it some depth. Then I glued them together with Mini Glue Dots. I set that aside and took a piece of the Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon and colored with my Light Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends Marker and set that aside to dry. Next I stamped the sentiment on the upper left side of one of the Whisper White layers and then added the 2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of DSP at the bottom. By that time the ribbon was dry and I added that and tied a knot or faux bow on the left. I glued this all to the card front and added the pineapple with dimensionals. Next I colored some rhinestones with my Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends Markers and added them to the DSP.

For the inside layers, I glued one of the large Whisper White layers to the inside left of the card base. Then I stamped one of the plumeria flowers to the upper left of the last large Whisper White layer in Lovely Lipstick ink. I then took a blender pen and carefully colored in some Mango Melody to the center of the flower. You need to be careful here because you can blend all of the lines of the flower and lose all your detail. You’re just bringing in enough of the Mango Melody to give it some color. I then stamped the other sentiment, also in Lovely Lipstick to the lower right corner of this layer and glued it down to the left hand side of the card base. Then I stamped my pineapple in Old Olive on one of the small Whisper White layers and a leaf on the other. I then colored the pineapple with the blender pen and Mango Melody and the leaf with Old Olive; again being careful not to muddy the lines. I glued those two layers to the small Mango Melody layers and then the two DSP layers to the other two Mango Melody layers. Next I folded the score lines on the long strip of Mango Melody and added adhesive to the back of one of the sides. I added that right at the edge of the left Whisper White layer right above the sentiment. Then I repeated this on the other side.

Next I added adhesive to the backs of the 4 panels just at the edges that were to be glued to the strip and added them in a step fashion making sure the last panel is above the inside sentiment.

Now when you look at it from the top, it looks like a “W”, okay so this picture makes it look more like an “M”, but you get the idea! lol 🙂

Isn’t that a fun card? Yes, there a lot of pieces, but when take it slow, it’s not that bad at all. If you would like to order any of these products, just head over to my online store.
