Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well. Were you able to catch my Facebook Live this morning? If not, you can watch the replay by going here. Today is the first day you can purchase any of the new Ornate Garden Suite of products and I thought it was the perfect time to share another project created with it. And what’s better then a simple and elegant card?

Here are the measurements for my card:

  • Card base in Thick Whisper White cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Gold Foil Paper cut at 4 1/4″ x 2 1/4″
  • Pretty Peacock cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 2″, embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″

This is one of those cards that has a lot of versatility to it all based on your sentiment. It would make a beautiful anniversary card, a birthday card or even a thinking of you card. I chose a thank you card. I wanted to keep it simple, but to make it elegant, I went with a Thick Whisper White card base. The new Ornate Gardens Specialty DSP is absolutely gorgeous, but the fold foiling on the back side of the papers is stunning! I knew I wanted to use the floral piece, but I didn’t want a lot, so I chose to punch out a 2″ circle of it. I embossed a scrap of Pretty Peacock cardstock with the new Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. It’s cute, but can be a little busy, which is why I chose to use a smaller piece of cardstock. I cut a scrap of Gold Foil to use as a mat for it and then glued them together and set them aside. I chose my sentiment and stamped it in Pretty Peacock ink on the bottom right hand corner. I wanted some ribbon on my embossed layers and since it was matted on gold foil, I went with the Old Olive/Pretty Peacock ribbon. I thing the Old Olive side has a beautiful gold sheen to it and just enhanced the Pretty Peacock color. I then glued that down to the card front. I punched out a Starburst of Gold Foil to layer under the circle of the DSP, but It all just looked so plain. So I pulled out my Pretty Peacock Blender Pens and colored the flowers. I then added it to the card front with some Black Dimensionals and sprinkled on some of the gorgeous Gilded Gems.

For the inside I would normally just stamp on the inside of the white card base, but to step it up, I stamped my sentiment and flower on another layer of Whisper White and glued it to the inside. I did stamp off on the flower, which is from the Ornate Style stamp set.

I love the look of the Pretty Peacock ink on the white! It is just stunning!
