Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope this finds you well. Did you catch my Facebook Live this morning? With the start of the new Catalog and scheduling issues, I thought now was the perfect time to switch it to Thursday mornings. Now if you weren’t able to catch it live, no worries, you can watch it here. Today we took a look at the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog and we played with the new Lovely You Bundle.
I have to say that the new Catalog is pretty awesome, especially all that gorgeous DSP! And the Flowers For Every Season has become one of my favorites!! Not that you couldn’t tell since the last three projects I posted uses, right? 🙂 And today’s project is using another piece of it. In fact, you will use one whole sheet of the 6 x 6 pack to create your card, inside as well as outside and the envelope!
Here are the measurements for the card:
- Card base in Petal Pink cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Flowers for Every Season DSP cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and 1″ x 3 3/4″ for the inside
- Just Jade cut at 1″ x 3 3/4″ for the tag
- Whisper White cardstock 3 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside and 3/4″ x 2 1/2″ for the tag
For those that follow me, you know that I am one of the bloggers for the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. Today’s project is really just another case. I actually cased the card in the catalog on page 169. Now mine is very different as I loosely followed the style of the card. After I cut the papers to size, I started by punching the tags for the card front. I had a bit of a learning curve for the new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, but after a bit, I was able to master it. It makes 3 different widths in labels in 2 different designs; 1″, 3/4″ 1/2″ and you can make them as long as you want. This punch is going to be great to make that perfect sized label! Once that was done, I stamped my sentiment in Misty Moonlight more towards the right of the label so I had room for the flower. I then glued the two labels together and set them aside. I took my larger piece of DSP and wrapped some of the Linen Thread around the DSP and using the cheater method, taped them to the back. I glued this layer to the card front and then added Mini Dimensionals to the back of the tag and added it to the card front. I then tied a double bow in the Linen Thread and added it to the card next to the label. I punched one of the Small Blooms in Misty Moonlight cardstock and added it to the card front with dimensionals. I sprinkled on some pearls and called it done.
I think the pearls are the perfect embellishment for the card! For the inside, I added that little strip to the piece of Whisper White and stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink, then glued it to the inside.
Then I decorated the envelope flap with the last piece of DSP left from cutting it for the card. You just add adhesive to the edges of the envelope, add it to your DSP and trim around the flap.
Isn’t that a sweet card? I just love everything about it! Now are you ready to get your hands on some of this gorgeous paper? Just head over to my online store to order.
