Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! I hope your day is off to a good start and you had a chance to catch my Live Facebook this morning. If you weren’t able to catch it live, that’s okay, you can watch it here now. You know we all have birthdays to shop for, but sometimes you just don’t know what to get for that person so you get a gift card for them. I wanted to create something cute to put it in and I thing this card/gift card holder works!

Here are the measurements for this card:

  • Card base in Poppy Parade cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ and 9″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″, 4″ x 3 1/4″ and 4″ x 1 1/2″
  • See a Silhouette DSP cut at 4″ x 1 1/8″, 3 3/4″ x 3″ and 3 3/4″ x 1 1/4″

I wanted something that would fit in one of our Medium Envelopes, so a card size gift card holder was perfect. This also has room to write something personal on the inside. After I cut and scored the Poppy Parade piece, I glued the Whisper White layer to the inside of the card base. Next I glued the 1 1/8″ x 4″ piece of DSP to the top of it, leaving just about 1/4″ of Whisper White showing. I glued the other two layers of DSP and Whisper White together. To create the card holder, I punched the just the edge of the cardstock with the 1 1/2″ circle punch to make it easier to get the card out. Then I glued that flap down with a piece of Tear & Tape right at the two edges of the cardstock. Then I added the DSP/Whisper White layer to the inside and the larger set to the front of that flap. Once the papers were glued on, I wrapped a piece of the Poppy Parade Textured Ribbon around and tied it in a knot. (These layers were cut smaller and I adjusted the sizes for the video.)

Next I stamped the flower and the two lady bugs in Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with my Stampin’ Blends. After they were colored, I cut them out with the coordinating dies that will be available February 3rd. Just makes those little lady bugs that much cuter! I took out my Stitched So Sweetly Dies and cut the largest one in Old Olive and the next size down in Whisper White cardstock. I glued those together and added them both to the card front with dimensionals. You only need to put dimensionals at the bottom as the top will be opening. Next I added the flower with dimensionals and one of the lady bugs. For the bling I used some of the Old Olive rhinestones from the Noble Peacock Rhinestone pack.

Next I stamped the inside sentiment, also in Tuxedo Black, making sure it was low enough so that you couldn’t see it when the card is closed. Then I added the second lady bug with another dimensional to give it some depth.

Didn’t that turn out cute? I absolutely love those little lady bugs!! This stamp set is a host set only available during Sale-a-bration for qualifying orders or parties.
