Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. Were you able to catch my FB Live this morning? If not, you can catch the replay here. I know it’s already July and I’m still playing with the June Paper Pumpkin Kit, but I just got it last Saturday! lol Not only was the mail delayed, but we also had problems with the lock on our mailbox and it took the Post Office a week to fix it. So there you go! Everything seems to be going nuts! lol

These are three of my alternates for the kit. The kit is just a happy kit called Share Sunshine. The kit was inspired by CEO Sara Douglas and the box is even yellow. They created it with the thought in mind to repurpose the box and send it to someone to cheer them up. There’s even a sheet of stickers with a large address label to decorate it on the outside. So let’s take a look at these three cards.

  • Card base in Basic Black cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Kit card base cut both front and back at 3 3/4″ x 5″

I wanted to keep this one simple, so I added two of the thin stickers on the left side of the card base layer. Then I grabbed a piece of the Playful Pets black and white twine and added it over the stickers. I tied a bow and set it aside since I wasn’t sure where I was going to add it. Next I glued this layer to the card front. I stamped the sentiment from the kit on another label and added it to the card front. Then I added the bow right next to the sentiment and added some of those pretty sequins.

For the inside I stamped the sentiment in black on the other piece of the card base and glued it to the inside and called it done.

Just clean and simple. The ink spot in this kit is Basic Black and is really juicy so it stamps well. Here’s card two:

When I looked at the sun die cut, I saw a sunflower, which is another favorite flower of mine. I decided to make this a flower using the Daisy Punch. I know, a daisy is hardly a sunflower, but it works! lol I punched out two of the daisies in Poppy Parade and glued them together with Mini Glue Dots. Next I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the “flower” and then added it to the daisies. I snipped a piece of Shaded Spruce for the stem and then glued it to the back of the flower. I added a Mini Glue Dot to the back of one of the lemon leaves die cut and added it to the base of the stem. I then added it to the card front with dimensionals. Next I stamped the sentiment on one of the flagged labels, glued it to the one of the polka dot stickers and added it to the card front with dimensionals. And of course, I had to add those sequins.

I didn’t stamp the inside yet until I know who it’s going to. For the third card, I played off of my layout from yesterday’s blog post.

  • Card base in Shaded Spruce cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″ for the front and 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ for the inside

I pulled out the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper and took out one of the card fronts. I cut the Whisper White to fit, and then glued them together using the Multipurpose Glue. Caution here – a little goes a long way! You only need to add a few drops at a time. Once it dried, I added it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal. Next I stamped the sentiment on another flagged label all the way to the right side. I glued that to one of the polka dot stickers and attached it to the card front. I added some of the dimensionals to the pineapple and attached it to the card front. Sprinkled on some sequins because you can’t forget the best part!

For the inside, I added another piece of the polka dot stickers to the top of my piece of Whisper White and then stamped the sentiment. I love that the font looks like the Rae Dunn font!
