Facebook Live – Fun Fold Valentine’s Card

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! I wanted to share the project from my Live Facebook this morning. It’s that time of year and I wanted to create a different Valentine’s card. Here are the measurements for my card:

Card base in Real Red cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 2 1/8″ on opposite sides of the card so that it creates a gate-fold
Flirty Flamingo cardstock 3 cut at 1 5/8″ x 4 1/8″ for the panels and one cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ for the inside
From the Heart Specialty DSP 3 cut at 1 1/2″ x 4″
Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ for the inside

After the card base was cut and scored, I cut the panel layers. I glued the three pieces of DSP to the panels and then attached them to the closed gate folded card front. The top and the bottom layers are attached to the right hand side of the gate fold by adding two strips of Tear & Tape to the back on the right side only. Then you attach them about 1/8″ from the top and the bottom of the card base. For the middle panel, you want to attach it to the left side of the card base by adding the strips of Tear & Tape to the left side. That way when it opens, you have two panels on the right side and one on the left. Next I stamped the From My Heart sentiment in Real Red ink and punched it out with the solid heart. I layered that onto a scalloped heart of Basic Black cardstock with dimensionals and added it to the card front with a couple more dimensionals. Since I’m using Basic Black, I used the Black Dimensionals. I then added two of the Red Rhinestones for bling.

For the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink and the hearts in Real Red ink, then layered the Whisper White layer to the Flirty Flamingo and then glued both to the inside of the card.

I wanted to use the Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment too, so I punched another scalloped heart in Basic Black, stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink and punched it out, and then added it to the scalloped heart with more of the black dimensionals. To create a surprise, I thought it would be fun to attach it to the back of the heart on the flap. I really like how it turned out!
