Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday!! I hope this finds you well and that your week is going well too. Were you able to catch my Facebook Live this morning for this project? If not, you can watch the replay here. And once you’ve watched, I would be so happy if you would subscribe to my Youtube Channel and share my video!

When I was trying to come up with something for today, I found this double z fold card pattern on Pinterest….gotta love that site!! I thought the card was stunning, so I created it for you with my spin on it. Here are the measurements for the card:

  • Card base in Petal Pink cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and one cut at 2 3/4″ x 8 1/2″, score both at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″
  • Parisian Blossoms Specialty DSP cut at 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″, 2 7/8″ x 2 1/2″ and 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Whisper White cardstock 2 cut at 1 7/8″ x 2 1/2″

The best way to create this card is to cut out all of your layers first and score your cardstock. I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, but you could used your trimmer with a scoring tool as well. Cut out two of the flowers in Pool Party and two of the centers in Champagne Foil. Next glue the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of DSP on the inside back of the card. Take the second layer of cardstock and fold at the score lines and add some strong adhesive (I used Tear & Tape)  to the back of the short score line and adhere it to the edge of the card base. Add some more to the back of the long piece, right at the edge, close the card and adhere this to the edge of the top fold of the card. It should look like this from the top:

Now it’s time to add the front layer of DSP. It fits right on the front panel and it is glued right over the layer of cardstock you just glued to it. Next stamp the two sentiments in Basic Gray ink, one on each of the Whisper White layers, and glue them to front and back of the “Z”. Now you can glue the small piece of DSP to the middle of the “Z”. I did stamp the “Always and Forever” sentiment closer to the top of the layer so that you could sign the card if you wanted.

Next I wrapped a piece of the Petal Pink Metallic Edged ribbon around the front of the “Z” next to the sentiment and tied it in a bow. I added some Pool Party ink to the center of the flowers with a dauber and then glued the flower centers to them. I added them to the sentiment panel with dimensionals, sprinkled on some of the Champagne Rhinestones ad it was done!

And let’s not forget the envelope!! I stamped the large flower image in Pool Party ink, stamping off first, to the front of the envelope. No naked envelopes!!! lol

So what do you think? I love how it turned out! You could even change up the front panel by adding the DSP first and then the flap over that and add a piece of DSP cut at 2 1/2″ x 4″ and then switch out the center DSP for another layer of Whisper White, but I’m happy with this version.
