Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! Were you able to see this morning’s Facebook Live for with this project? If not, you can catch the replay here. If this is your first time here, welcome and be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Later today the Retiring List of Stampin’ Up! product will be announced and I since know that these colors are retiring, it was time to showcase them one last time.
Here are the measurements for my card:
- Card base in Grapefruit Grove cardstock cut at 81/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Basic Black cardstock cut at 3 5/8″ x 5 1/8″ and 3 3/8″ x 4 3/8″ for the inside
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ for the inside
So today’s project is just ink, a lot of ink, stamps and paper! Oh and let us not forget the bling! I have had this stamp set, which is in the 2019/2020 Annual Catalog for awhile, but haven’t used it yet. Not sure why because it is a fun stamp set to play with! So I started by stamping the flowers and then the sentiment. That way it made it easier to get in all the colored bubbles in the right spot. I stamped them in Tuxedo Black ink and then colored the leaves with the Call Me Clover and Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers and then the Light Lovely Lipstick Blends for the flower centers. Those three color Blends markers will be terribly missed!! Next I stamped the bubbles in each of the ink colors, stamping off first, starting with Lovely Lipstick, then Grapefruit Grove, then Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover and finally Blueberry Bushel ink. Next I added the two butterflies and colored them with the Pineapple Punch Blends. Then I added the splatter image in Tuxedo Black, stamping off first. I then added some Wink of Stella on the butterflies and then sprinkled on the rhinestones. I glued that layer to the Basic Black layer, and then both to the card front.
For the inside, I stamped the splatter image in Grapefruit Grove ink and then the sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink on top. I then stamped the butterfly and colored it with the Pineapple Punch Blends Marker. Glued the layer to the Basic Black layer and both to the inside of the card.
What do you think? I love all the colors in it!! Now remember, these colors are retiring, so if you need to add any refills or cardstock to your arsenal, just head over to my online store to order yours. The retirement list will releases later today, so stay tuned for that. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
