Hello and welcome to another Fabulous Friday! Today’s project is a gift card holder that is perfect for a winter wedding or any other winter celebration. And the best part is it fits in our regular Medium Envelopes, or also known as an A2 envelope. Yay!!! So here are the measurements of the card:
- Thick Whisper White cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 2 1/4″ and 5 1/2″
- Champagne Foil Paper cut at (1) 4″x 5 1/4″, and (2) 3″ x 4″
- Year of Cheer Specialty Paper cut at (1) 3 3/4″ x 5″ and (1) 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
- Silver 1/8″ Ribbon cut at (2) 9″
Once all your paper is cut and scored, fold the 2 1/4″ score line in towards the 5 1/2″ side. Using the 1″ circle punch, make a notch in the center to make it easier to get the gift card in and out. Then take one of your 3″ x 4″ pieces of foil and adhere it to the inside section where the card will sit. The best adhesive to use for this project is either Fast Fuse or Tear and Tape, and I used Fast Fuse. Run some adhesive at the inside edge of the notched flap and adhere it down to create the pocket. Then take the other 3″ x 4″ piece of foil and add adhesive to the back and be sure to add a strip to the center for the ribbon. Layer on the front of the card with the ribbon facing towards the back of the card. Do the same to the 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of foil and then layering on the DSP. Then on the front of the card, add the foil snowflake with Mini Glue Dots with one of the shorter edges next to the ribbon. Using a scrap piece of Whisper White, stamp the Mr. and Mrs. sentiment and then the “and so your story begins” sentiment right underneath it from the Cheers To The Year Stamp Set in Versa Mark ink. Add some Copper Embossing Powder and heat emboss. Punch it out with the Everyday Label Punch. Then do the same with the Just For You sentiment from the Merry Little Label Stamp Set. Once you’ve punched them out, add a Mini Glue Dot on the back in opposite corners and add a foil swirl cut from the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlets Dies to each of the dots. Add some dimensionals to the Mr. and Mrs. piece and add to the front, and adhere the Just For You right to the inside of the card. I adhered right to the card base without dimensionals. Then, using a dark brown Sharpie, color two rhinestones and add them to the ends of the punch on the Mr. and Mrs. piece and you’re done! Isn’t that easy?!? And so much wow factor!!! I LOVE this DSP!!!
