Hello and welcome to another Fabulous Friday! We are right in the middle of gift giving season and what better project to share then a gift card holder? We all have those people in our lives that are hard to shop for and we end up getting gift cards for them, but there’s no reason to just hand it to them in a boring old envelope! Here’s a quick and easy holder for your gift card and it’s so stinking cute!! Here are the measurements for the project:

  • Medium Whisper White Envelope
  • Night of Navy panels (2) cut at 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″
  • Christmas Around the World DSP (2) cut at 2 3/4″ x 2″
  • Ovals (2) in Whisper White cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits
  • Silver Natural Trim Ribbon cut at 16″

First you need to fold the envelope in half and cut off the right half of the flap and seal the left portion. Turn the envelop over and adhere the ribbon across the middle of the envelope with Fast Fuse, to create the tie. Then adhere the Night of Navy on each half of the envelope and the DSP over that in the center. Then take the snowman stamp from the Seasonal Chums stamp set and using a sticky note, mask the back of the snowman, then stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black. Be sure to the stamp the snowman towards the top of the oval so that you have room for the sentiment. Taking the sentiment from the Cheers to the Year stamp set, stamp in Night of Navy at the bottom of the oval. Then stamp the back of the snowman in Memento on the second oval, making sure to mask the front with a sticky note. Once you’ve stamped the images, it’s time to color with the Stampin’ Markers. I used the Light Night of Navy and Dark Pool Party on his hat, scarf, and mittens. Then I used the Light Smoky Slate on the bunny, Dark Pumpkin Pie on his nose, Light Old Olive on the holly leaves and Light Cherry Cobbler on the holly berries and the bird on the back of his hat. I added a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the ovals to the envelope. Then I took the Wink of Stella and colored in the snowman to give him a frosty effect. Isn’t he just so adorable??? And don’t forget to sprinkle on some rhinestones too, can’t have a creation without bling!! Did you watch my video on this? If not, just head over here to watch it.
