Welcome to another Fabulous Friday! Today’s project is an adorable Valentine card made with the Party Panda stamp set. Those little pandas are soooooo stinking cute!! When I saw the one holding the envelope with a heart, I knew it was destined to be a Valentine card! Did you see the video? You can see it here on my Youtube channel. - Card base in Calypso Coral, cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Painted with Love DSP, cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Gold Foil Sheet cut with the Sweet & Sassy Framelits
- Painted with Love DSP cut with the Sweet & Sassy Framelits
This is a simple card, but I think with all the gold foil it just makes it a wow card. And that shimmer ribbon gives it some bling too! We are using the new Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper today. It is gorgeous paper that isn’t in your typical red and white colors. I love to use non-traditional colors for holidays and this paper is perfect for that!
So once you’ve cut your DSP, wrap a piece of the ribbon around it and tie it in a bow to the right hand side, then adhere it to the card base. Stamp the panda in black ink, then fussy cut him out with your Paper Snips. Then color the heart with the Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker and also write in the words Love You. The Love You stamp in the set is too big for the envelope, which is why I chose to write it in. Cut out a foil heart with the Sweet & Sassy Framelits and another heart with in the DSP. Adhere the hearts together, add some dimensionals and adhere it to the card front. Once the hearts are adhered, add some dimensionals to the panda and add him to the hearts. Take a scrap piece of Whisper White and stamp the Happy Valentine’s Day from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and punch out with the Classic Label Punch. This stamp set has been around forever, longer then I’ve been a demonstrator, but it’s the perfect one for these little labels. Once you’ve punched out the sentiment, add a couple of the Mini Dimensionals to it and add it to the right hand lower corner of the card. Then add a couple of the Metallic Enamel Shapes in gold on the ends of the sentiment label and you are done! 🙂 Isn’t that the cutest card? I love it!!! That panda just makes my heart smile.
