Hey everyone! Welcome to another Fabulous Friday!! And today is even more fabulous because today the new Holiday Catalog goes live!!!! Woo hoo!!! And what better way to get into the holiday season then with a Halloween Treat Box? I am so ready for fall, you have no idea! It’s only going to be over 110 degrees today….yuck! We are 60+ days into summer and just about all of them have been over 100, not fun. So back to fall…..

This box is so easy to make and can be created for so many different occasions just by changing up the color of the cardstock and different designer series papers and embellishments. The measurements on the box are:

  • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock                    5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 1 3/4″ on all four sides
  • Spooky Night DSP                           1″ by at least 11″

Once you’ve scored your cardstock, you want to fold all the score lines and then cut 2 of the score lines on opposite sides of the cardstock. Once you’ve cut them, add adhesive and fold the box together. If you’ve never made a box from scratch, this is where watching the video comes in handy. You can find the video here. Then you want to take the dsp, add adhesive to the edge of one side and add to the box, wrapping it around the box, trim the end and adhere it to the starting point of the dsp. I then stamped the image first in Versa Mark, then in Basic Black and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. It really gives the stamp that added pop, and not to mention the dimension. I punched it out using the new Everyday Label Punch and trimmed off the bottom tab so that the base of the tag was flush with the box. I added some dimensionals and adhered it to the box. I then punched out 3 cats from the same pack of designer series paper and added them to the box with more dimensionals. I fussy cut a witches had and added it to the label. Once it was all decorated, I took one of our 3 x 6 Gusseted Cellophane bags and put in some Kit Kats (goes well with the cats and I didn’t even pick up on that when I shot the video!! lol), tied some of the new Vintage Crocheted Ribbon and you’ve got the cutest little treat box to give to someone special!
