Welcome to another Fabulous Friday! Today’s project features the February Paper Pumpkin kit, but with a twist. The February kit is so adorable with all the spring flowers in it. If you aren’t sure what Paper Pumpkin is, it is a monthly craft subscription from Stampin’ Up! It’s perfect for any crafter, but even more so for the crafter on the go, the crafter with limited space, or even just starting out The kit includes all the items to complete the projects including a set of full printed instructions. Did you get a chance to see today’s video? If not, you can see it here. The only measurements you need to complete today’s project are:
- Garden Green cardstock cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″
- The Sahara Sand layer that is included trimmed to 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
That’s it! Everything else is included in the kit. I took one of the flowered layers and trimmed the edge off to create a tag. Then I took out my Versa Mark ink, inked up the Celebrate sentiment in the Versa Mark and then in the Garden Green ink and stamped it on the tag. Then I sprinkled on some clear embossing powder and heat embossed it to melt the powder. It really makes the word pop on the flowered image. Then I stamped the “your awesomeness” sentiment in Garden Green on the lower right of the Sahara Sand layer and then adhered it to the Garden Green layer, then both to the card front. I then added some of the included Mini Glue dots on the back of the tag and added some of the vellum leaves from the kit. I added some dimensionals and added it to the card front. I took one of the flower stickers from the kit, added a dimensional to the back and added it to the top of the tag, like a button. I made a double bow from the Linen Thread in the kit and added it to the “button” on the tag with a glue dot. Sprinkle on some pearls and called it done. So easy!
