Welcome to another Fabulous Friday! Today’s project is a fun fold card using my Product of the Week, the Falling Leaves Bundle. Have you seen today’s video? If not, you can find it on my YouTube Channel. While you are there, be sure to subscribe. Here are the measurements for today’s card:
- Card base in Mossy Meadow cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
- Festive Farmhouse DSP cut at 4″ x 12″, scored at 4 1/4″ and 9 1/2″
- Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
This is such an easy card, but it does has some wow factor to it. I know the Festive Farmhouse DSP is mainly for Christmas, but I just had to use it for this card. The plaid in the DSP reminds me of a flannel shirt. Who doesn’t love wearing flannel on a cold day? Now granted, today is not that day since it’s in the upper 90’s here, but I have faith that cooler weather is right around the corner! 🙂 Once you’ve cut and scored your DSP, fold at the score lines. Adhere the DSP to the card base. With the longer flap at the top of your card, fold the DSP back up about an inch to show off the backside of the pattern. I used the Very Vanilla Twine from the Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine pack and tied it around the fold and into a bow. This twine feels so good to the touch, very soft, and is thicker then our regular twine. Next I cut the leaf shadow in Early Espresso and the detailed leaf in Very Vanilla. Using the Fine Tip Glue Pen, I adhered them together. I added some dimensionals just to the top of the leaf and added it over the twine. I colored a rhinestone with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Marker and added it to the center of the leaf, then sprinkled on some more to the rest of the card front. I just can’t create a card without bling!
Next I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and the leaf image in stamped off Mossy Meadow; and then adhered it down.
Isn’t that adorable? I think it’s perfect for a masculine card. And it fits in one of our Medium Envelopes too, so no extra postage!
