Welcome to another Fabulous Friday! This is the last of the Bye-bye Bundles Series so I chose my favorite in the Occasions Catalog, Petal Palette. I was so excited to see that it was carrying forward to the new Annual Catalog! I just love everything about it! The sentiments, the cute framelits and the watercolor flowers. - Card base in Basic Black cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Lemon Lime Twist cardstock cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Petal Passion DSP cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
The Petal Passion DSP was another favorite with all the black and white images. So versatile, you can dress it up or dress it down (just like jeans! lol) And coloring the flowers is so therapeutic! For today’s card I went with just the simple stripe piece of the DSP and paired with Lemon Lime Twist. I like this color combination almost as much as Dapper Denim and Lemon Lime Twist, although Lemon Lime Twist pretty much goes with anything. Today’s card is a quick and easy card once you have all the pieces ready to go. When you have your card base ready, just adhere the DSP to the Lemon Lime Twist layer, then adhere them both to the card front. I cut out the leaves in the green glimmer paper from the Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper pack, added a little Snail adhesive to the back and adhered it to the card front. I stamped the bird image on a scrap piece of Whisper White, punched it out with the 2″ Circle Punch and layered it on a piece of Basic Black that was punched out with the Starburst Punch. I added some dimensionals and layered it over the leaves. Then I took a Blender Pen that was inked in Lemon Lime Twist and colored the bird. I then added some Wink of Stella to it. I tied a bow in the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon, which I’m happy to say is carrying over to the new catalog, and adhered it to the bottom of the circle with a Mini Glue Dot. I cut out the banner frame in Whisper White, stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink and adhered it to the bottom of the card with dimensionals. To finish it off, I added a couple of Glitter Enamel Dots. Both the glitter dots and the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad are retiring, so don’t miss out on those either.
