Welcome to another Fabulous Friday! It is so good to be back in my scraproom! Today’s project features on a bundle that will be carrying forward into the new catalog, but the bundle pricing will go away. Yes, the bundle pricing (which saves you 10%) is only good for the first year of the bundle, then if it carries over to the next catalog, you have to purchase them separately. So today I chose to feature the Lemon Zest Bundle. Did you have a chance to watch the video? If not, you can view it on my Youtube Channel. Here are the measurements of my card:
- Card base in Lemon Lime Twist, cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Basic Black Cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ for the outside layer and 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ for the insider layer
- Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper cut at 3″ x 4 1/4″
- Whisper White Cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
I chose the Tutti-Frutti DSP for the lemon slices because it goes so well with the stamp set. Isn’t it great when you have items that match with multiple suites? I love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates all of their products! After I cut the card base, I cut the DSP and layered it to the Basic Black layer for the outside of the card. Then I tied the Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon around the base of the layers and tied it in a knot. I stamped the lemon image and punched it out and punched out 2 of the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. I adhered the leaves to the the lemon with Mini Glue Dots, washed over Wink of Stella on these and set them aside. Then using my Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Markers, I colored the lemon slice to match the DSP, stamped it and punched it out with the 1 3/4″ circle punch. I washed on some more Wink of Stella on it and set it aside. Then I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink and punched it out with the Every Day Label Punch. I love that punch and use it on so many things; very glad it’s carrying over to the new Annual Catalog. I added some Snail Adhesive to the back of the label, added the lemon, then the lemon slice, then added dimensionals and added it to the card front. Then I added two of the Glitter Enamel Dots to the label and one to the lemon. Next I created the inside of the card.
I inked up the lemon slice with the markers again, stamped off once and then stamped the piece of Whisper White cardstock. Then I stamped the sentiment in black, adhered the two layers together, then added them to the card. I know some people just stamp on the inside of the card base, but I like to tie the inside with the front of the card as much as possible. I love to add a two-step type sentiment, I think it gives it more character.
