Hey everyone! Welcome to another Fabulous Friday! This week we are creating a Tri Fold Card. I actually got this pattern from an online convention that I took through Creating Success. I have learned so much about this business through the courses put on by Ronda Wade and her crew and I will be forever grateful! This card has that wow factor, but it’s really very simple to create. The one pictured here is actually a birthday card, but in the video I used the wedding sentiments from this stamp set. See how versatile this stamp set is?
Here are the dimensions of the card and what you’ll need:
- a piece of 12 x 12 Whisper White cardstock Cut 5 1/2″ x 12″ and scored at 1 3/4″, 4 3/4″ and 7 3/4″
- Wood Textures 6 x 6 DSP Trim to 5 1/4″ on one side, then cut into 1 1/2″, 2 3/4″ and 1 3/4″ strips
- Whisper White 3 Stitched Oval Framelits
- Night of Navy 2 Scalloped Ovals
- Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon About 25″ in length
- White Perfect Accents
After you have cut and scored the Whisper White, fold at the score lines with the first score line folding in and creating the mountain/valley folds on the card. The second scored section can be glued to the third so that you only have 2 actual opening of the card. Once the cardbase has been prepared, glue the 3 trimmed pieces of the Wood Textures DSP to each panel. Then take your 3 stitched ovals and stamp each of the sentiments. Once the sentiments are stamped, stamp each with flowers, then with the stems. Now attach the first sentiment oval and the last sentiment oval to the scalloped ovals. Take your ribbon and cut a piece long enough (about 25″ in length) and wrap it around the middle fold and tie a bow to the top of the card. Take the oval with the front sentiment and add adhesive just to the left edge of the scallop and add it to the front panel so that it actually covers all 3 panels. Open the the first panel and using the back of the scallop as a guide, place the second sentiment oval face down behind it, add two dimensionals and close it back onto the second panel for positioning. Add adhesive to the back of the third sentiment and open the 2 panels again to use as a guide to line up the scallops, lay the third scallop face down, making sure the scallops line up, and then close the card to attach the scallop. Easy peasy, right? lol and that is why the video comes in so handy!! You can check it out here.
