Welcome to another Fabulous Friday! Today’s project is all about the March Paper Pumpkin 5th Anniversary Kit. I’m sure by now you have seen pictures of everything that came in the kit. I love the whole vintage feel of this kit and I really hope we get some of these same goodies in the new Annual Catalog that goes live in June. Have you seen today’s video? If not, you can see it here on my Youtube Channel. While you’re there, please be sure to like, share and tag a friend on my video.

When I created this card, I actually added only three items, the cardstock, doilies and pearls. Here are the measurements for the cardstock:

  • Card base in Crumb Cake cardstock, cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Powder Pink cardstock cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″

That’s it! Since I was using the flowers die cut that would have been used on one of the flower packets, I wanted something lacey. I took two of the Delicate White Doilies and adhered them down on the top left corner and the lower right corner. I added some dimensionals to  the die cut and added it to the doilies. I tied a double bow in the baker’s twine from the kit and added it to the stems on the die cut with a Mini Glue Dot. I then stamped the sentiment from the stamp set that was in the kit in Early Espresso ink on the little label from the kit. I love the look of that label. Wouldn’t it be great to get a punch for that label? I can let you know in May if we get one in the upcoming Annual Catalog.  😉  I added some more dimensionals to the label and placed it on the die cut. There were some adorable pink and purple pearls in the kit, so I added two of the pink ones to the label and some of our regular pearls from my stash to the rest of the card. I then grabbed my Wink of Stella and painted some on the colored flowers and leaves to make them shimmer. And that was it. Quick and easy! I think it would make a beautiful Mother’s Day card too.

I love how much fun the Paper Pumpkin kits can be. On the days that I don’t have a lot of mojo, I can pull it out and just follow the directions in the kit and then go from there.
