Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend because I certainly did. I was able to attend a two-day crop event and had so much fun playing with about 75 other scrappy ladies. I hadn’t been to one in a really long time and I have to say, I’m going to make it a point to go to more of them, as well as host one or two with our group. Here’s a look at some of the fun.
Doesn’t it look like fun?!? Crafting, eating, laughing and crafting some more!! And I had so much fun sitting with these three! I was able to create my swap cards for OnStage coming up next month and just enjoyed some crafty fun! This is exactly why I love what I do, if not for Stampin’ Up!, I never would have these three in my life. And this makes me very grateful!
So back to today’s project using the Nine Lives Stamp Set and the coordinating Cat Punch. This was a perfect time to share this card. I created it for my youngest daughter to give to her cat sitter while she came home for a visit. Here are the measurements for the project:
- Card base in Mango Melody cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Brights DSP cut at 2″ x 5 1/4″
I went with Mango Melody to match the colors of my daughter’s cat. I stamped the cat’s outline in Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Mango Melody, then stamped the spots over it and punched it out. I cut an oval in Whisper White cardstock and the scalloped oval in Basic Black and glued them together and added the cat with dimensionals. For the base layers, I glued the piece of DSP to the Whisper White and added a strip of the Basic Black Scalloped Ribbon and glued it all to the card base. I stamped the sentiment just above the ribbon and added the scalloped oval with dimensionals, and let’s not forget the rhinestones.
Here’s a look at the inside:
The sentiment and the outline of the yarn is in Tuxedo Black and the inside of the yarn is stamped in Mango Melody. Isn’t it cute? And the colors are perfect for Halloween too! 🙂 If you would like to order any of these items, just head over to my online store. When you use Host Code WSRG6TJ3, I’ll send you a pack of handmade cards all ready to send to someone and make their day.
Thank you for stopping by and be sure to come back tomorrow for another CASE-ing Tuesday project. Have a great afternoon!
