Hey everyone! I just wanted to share a layout I created using some of the elements from the December Paper Pumpkin kit. I just love the colors in this kit – and those copper sequins?!? LOVE!!!!!

Here are the measurements:

  • White Willow Base – 12″ x 12″
  • Balmy Blue cardstock – 2 @ 2″ x 2″ x 10″
  • Copper Foil sheet – 2 @ 3/4″ x 9″ (Retired)
  • 2 Card bases from kit

When I created this layout I didn’t even have any photos chosen for it yet, but I just had the urge to create anyway. I love the watercolor theme from the kit and especially the color pallet. And the best part is I created it with scraps! The photo I finally chose was actually a proof photo from about 20 years ago. LOVE those girls of mine!!

I attached all the layers with Stampin’ Seal. I used the add-on die set, the Abundant Joy dies, to die cut the flowers in foil and Balmy Blue, the Joy in copper foil and the tag in Basic White. The ribbon I used is from my stash, the retired Pretty Peacock & Gold, but sitting next to the copper, it picks up a copper look. Rather than tie the ribbon in a knot, I used a little bit of Tear & Tape (from the kit) to attach the ends together and then added a white twine bow out of my stash with a Mini Glue Dot. The tag is added with dimensionals and all of the flowers are attached with Mini Glue Dots. All of my adhesive, except for the Stampin’ Seal came from the kit, which is always a plus.

In case you missed my card from last week’s CASE-ing Tuesday card using another card base, here’s a look at it. Just click on the photo to go to that blog post.

I love creating alternates with the kits! The cutoff to subscribe for the January Kit is Saturday, the 10th. This month you’ll be able to create 9 adorable Valentine or love cards in a special box. There’s also a new set of dies for this first quarter. When you shop my online store, just click on the link in the menu to shop Paper Pumpkin. It’s the best craft subscription on the market!!
