Hey everyone! Happy Monday! Are you ready for a new week? We finally see the sun, so it’s starting off in the right direction! This week we are going to be taking a look at the outgoing 2017-2019 In-Colors; Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide. Did you have a favorite out of these? I love them all, but I think Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide were my top two. I am definitely going to miss them all, but then I say that every year when the out going In-colors retire. So here are the measurements for today’s card:
- Card base in Berry Burst cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Lemon Lime Twist cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Whisper White cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
This card was put together pretty quickly. I looked for a stamp set that I could incorporate all the colors for today’s post, and thought the doilies would be perfect. I stamped each one in one of the colors, layered it on a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and then added that gorgeous Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon. After I adhered those two layers to the card front, I pulled out another scrap of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the flowers in Lemon Lime Twist and the sentiment in Berry Burst. I really love the fonts in this sentiment, in fact, it is very close to the font in my Scraps by Sissy branding package. Next I cut the images out with the largest circle in the Layering Circles Framelits and sponged the edges with some Berry Burst. I added it to the card front with dimensionals and then added some rhinestones. Here’s a look at the inside:
Didn’t that turn out beautifully? That Lemon Lime Twist goes with everything and will definitely be missed for that “pop” of color! I hope you like today’s project.
