Hey everyone, happy Monday! I hope you had a relaxing weekend. Our weekend included having Charlie overnight on Friday. That kid is growing up too fast! We took him down to Chico, which is about an hour southeast of us, to visit my middle daughter. Living in Northern California we have a lot of open farmland and ranches around, which is one of the reasons we love living up here. So driving down the highway Charlie is looking out the window and says “Whoa! Look at that yard!!”. He just keeps me laughing 24/7!! Definitely the joy in all of our lives in this family.
So I was working on some of the cards from the online convention I took a few weeks ago and I wanted to share one. It’s such a beautiful autumn card! It’s using the Count My Blessings stamp set and some of the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper that is part of the Buy 3 Get 1 Free sale that ends at the end of the month. Here are the measurements of my card:
- Card base in Thick Very Vanilla 11 x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″
- Early Espresso cardstock 5 1/4 x 4″
- DSP 5 x 3 3/4″
- Gold Glimmer Paper 1 x 3 1/2″
I adhered the layers to the card base, then stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla and cut it out with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I flagged the ends of the glimmer paper, adhered it to the back of the oval with Mini Glue Dots, then added dimensionals to the oval and adhered it to the card. Took a piece of the new Jute Twine, tied it in a bow and added it with another Mini Glue Dot. Quick, clean and simple. My kind of card! Isn’t it a great autumn card?
