Hey everyone! Happy Sunday!! I hope you have been having a great weekend. It’s definitely felt like fall here, but tomorrow it’s going to feel more like summer. I guess that’s what is known as an Indian Summer? Either way, it’s going to be a warm one. I was putting away the supplies from Friday night’s class and wanted to make one more card with this stamp set. This is definitely going to be one of those sets that I don’t get rid of when it retires. It’s a great “thinking of you” set and can be used for men or women. And the best part of this card is I made it with all scraps!! Woo hoo!! Here are the measurements:
- Chocolate Chip card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Scrap of DSP 5 x 3 3/4″
The piece of the Copper Trim is actually a piece left over from our make and takes at Onstage back in April…see? I never throw anything away!! lol I stamped both the image and the sentiment in Chocolate Chip and added clear embossing powder and heat embossed it. I love that technique!! This way you can emboss any color you want. After I heat embossed the images, I ran the trim around the DSP and tied a bow at the top and then adhered it to the card base. Like my copper rhinestones? Another fun technique. I actually colored our rhinestones with a dark brown Sharpie pen. Pretty cool, huh?
The Designer Series Paper scrap I used is from the Wood Textures pack. It’s one of the ones that is a part of the Buy 3 Get 1 Free promotion that goes through the end of October.
