Hey everyone! Welcome to sneak peek #3 & 4. I know I mentioned on Thursday that I would post these yesterday…well, as you can tell, I didn’t make it. It was one of those days in the scraproom where nothing was going right, no mojo, just trying to throw ink on paper and call it a card. It was awful. That’s what I get for trying to put everything into one weekend after being gone for 10 days. Note to self…it doesn’t work, you become a crazy person!! Thank goodness for my patient husband. He already puts up with a lot from me….yesterday he became a saint!! lol
So very quickly since I have to set up for this morning’s class, here are my last two projects. This one almost ended up in the trash, but Larry (the saint of all husbands) convinced me that it was a keeper. And judging by everyone’s reaction last night at the November Workshop, he is right. Guess I need to listen to him more often!! lol
This is made with Delightful Dijon, which I never would have chosen for a Christmas card until Stampin’ Up! came out with the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper, which is on the top half of the card. See how well things coordinate?? Then I added a small piece of the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper on the bottom. Beautiful paper that probably gets overlooked in the catalog. Whisper White that is embossed. Gorgeous!! I added a piece of Emerald Envy ribbon to it to tie in the greens in the paper. I punched a piece of Mint Macaron with the 2″ circle punch, added the Santa hat created with the Jolly Hat punch, some holly leaves and berries created with the Holly Berry Happiness Bundle and added the sentiment from the Christmas Magic stamp set on a tag cut with the Tags & Labels Framelits. And of course I had to add some Rhinestones for added bling! 🙂
This card is actually one we made at our September Team Meeting and it uses the My Hero stamp set which is the set that is this year’s Ronald McDonald stamp set. For each of these stamp sets that are purchased, SU! will donate to the RM Foundation, so it is a win-win set. The DSP is from the new 2016/2018 In Color paper stack in Emerald Envy. The snowflakes are punched in the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter paper with one of the White Perfect Accents in the middle. The ribbon is some of the Silver 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon and the Whisper White Organza Ribbon. The sentiment is stamped in Real Red and layered on a Real Red scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits.
Phew! Can’t wait to actually get stamp for fun this morning! If you would like to purchase any of these items, head over to my online store and when you use Hostess Code 66GUZUBY, I’ll send you a pack of handmade cards. If you order is $50.00 or more, I’ll send you a packet of the White Perfect Accents.
