Hello and Happy Wednesday! I wanted to share a gift card I created for a custom order. One of my former coworkers asked me to create something as a thank you he could give to a barista that serves him every day. Well, the Merry Cafe stamp set immediately came to mind. I love this set and I plan on keeping it after it retires! Here are the measurements on the card:
- Card base in Thick Whisper White cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Garden Green (2) layers cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Whisper White layer (inside) cut at 5″ x 3 3/4″
- Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper layer cut at 5″ x 3 3/4
First I cut the card base out, folded it in half and set it aside. Then I adhered the DSP to the Garden Green layer and added a piece of the Garden Green Stitched Satin Ribbon. That style of ribbon is my absolute favorite! I get every color that SU! comes out with and never get rid of even when it retires. I then adhered that to the card base. I added a small piece of the ribbon at the top to create a faux bow by just tying a knot. Then I added one of the Foil Snowflake Doilies to the front, those doilies will be greatly missed! I took a scrap piece of Whisper White and stamped the lid and the cup in Crumb Cake ink and them out with the coordinating framelits. I stamped the sentiment in the coordinating colors, then added the holly. I also cut the cup stopper in Real Red and added it to the lid with a mini glue dot, then glued that to the cup. I added some dimensionals and then added it to the card front. Then I added a couple of the White Perfect Accents to the lower left corner. When I cut the DSP for the front, I saved a piece and trimmed it to fit at the bottom of the Whisper White panel for the inside. I only added adhesive to the very edges so that this created a pocket to hold cash. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink, adhered it to the Garden Green panel, then to the inside of the card. Here’s what it looks like on the inside:
Then I had to add the cute little cup to the outside of the envelope. It looks like a latte!!
I’m almost positive this set is retiring, so don’t let it slip away without getting one for you. Just head over here to purchase your set. Be sure to check out the Year-End Sale list that is posted too so you don’t miss out on any of the retiring products. Thank you stopping by!!
