Hey everyone! How’s your week going? So are you ready for the final sneak peek for Saturday’s Christmas in July?!? When I started this card, I knew I wanted to use the Sheet Music background stamp, but had something completely different in my head as to what the card was going to look like. Not that that has never happened before, right?

So I knew I was going to go with traditional Christmas colors of Real Red and Garden Green and when I chose the Father Christmas stamp set, I wanted something with an aged or distressed look. I took a 3 3/4 x 5″ piece of Very Vanilla and using Sahara Sand, I inked the Sheet Music stamp and then stamped off before I stamped it on the Very Vanilla. This is when our grid paper comes in handy!! To distress it, I took one of our sponges and inked it with Sahara Sand and brushed the edges of the cardstock. Then I inked Father Christmas with Soft Suede and stamped him towards the bottom of the cardstock. I stamped the holly in Garden Green above Santa to create a garland effect, and then adhered this to a Garden Green layer that measure 3 7/8 x 5 1/8″ and glued it to the card base. Then I stamped the greeting in in Real Red and cut it out with one of the Layering Oval Framelits and added it to a Real Red scalloped oval that comes that set of framelits. I added it to the garland with a diminensional to pop it and then added a double bow from the Linen Thread. Of course it wouldn’t be one of my cards without bling, so I had to add two rhinestones!! lol Isn’t it a cute card? Here’s the inside of the card:

I stamped the Santa’s toy sack in Sahara Sand, first stamping off so that it’s just a hint of the image, and then distressed the edges with the sponge like I did on the front. Then I took the Happy Christmas sentiment from the Oh What Fun stamp set and stamped it full strength in Real Red. I debated on stamping it in green, but just went with the red since it was open. Way to decide which color, huh??? lol
