Hey everyone! Happy Monday! Today is a very special day in the Servis household. Our little Charlie is turning 4! Wow! That went by in a hurry!! He is such a good boy too. Yesterday was his birthday party with his friends from school. His mom had it at a local trampoline park and the kids had an absolute ball.
So I wanted to share the card I created for him. Since Stampin’ Up! doesn’t have any Spiderman or other Disney stamps, I had to improvise. This is where my Cricut machine comes in very handy! I went through all my cartridges and found the Best of Pixar so I knew I had something that would work. I’ve heard Charlie talk about the upcoming Incredibles movie, so I used the little boy image on the cartridge. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but the image is actually on one of the little wobbly spring stickers so that the image moves. It was a lot of fun to put together. Reminds me how much I love my Cricut and miss using it. That is a trigger that I need to do some serious scrapbooking!! 😉
The stamps I used on this card are from two different online stamp companies, one of which I was a guest design team member at one time (pre-Stampin’ Up! days). Both companies are no longer in business, but had created stamps to coincide with Cricut cartridges back in the day. These stamps do come in handy every now and again. Here’s a look at the inside of the card:
All the cardstock and pattern paper used to create this card was from the stash of non-Stampin’ Up! supplies that I keep specifically for these occasions. With so many choices in the world, it is hard not to step out of the SU! world every now and again. I hope you enjoyed today’s creation. Don’t forget to stop by tomorrow for another CASE-ing Tuesday project! Thank you for stopping by!
