Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. Today’s project was for my Facebook Live and it’s a fun fold card. Don’t you love easy fun fold cards that pack a little bit of a wow? If you do, then this card is for you! Were you able to watch my live this morning? If not, you can watch the replay here. This card is actually a case (copy and share everything) from a swap card I received a month or so ago and was created by Victoria Hevener. So thank you Vicki for such a cute card for me to case!

Here are the measurements for my card:

  • Card base in Misty Moonlight cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x  8 3/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ and 1″ X 4 1/4″, scored at 1″
  • In Good Taste DSP cut at 3″ x 4″
  • Flowers for Every Season DSP cut with the solid sunflower die
  • Whisper White cardstock cut at 3″ x 4″ and a 1/2″ strip

I created my card almost exactly as Vicki’s but changed up just a few things. I started with my card base that was 4 1/4″ x 11″ and trimmed off 2 1/4″ to create the flap. The piece I trimmed off, I cut a one inch strip off of that to create the flap that has the sunflower on it. I stamped the two large sunflowers on the right side of the inside of the card base. I folded the little flap at the score line and glued the short side to the back of the card base. I then glued my DSP to the front side of the large flap. Next I cut the large sunflower out of the DSP and then the outline of the sunflower in Bumble Bee cardstock. I glued those two together with some of the Multipurpose glue and set it aside. I then stamped two of the leaves in Just Jade ink and cut them out with the die and added them to the back of the sunflower. Once those were done, I attached them with some of the new Stampin’ Seal adhesive on to the arm/flap. Next I took a 1/2″ strip of Whisper White and stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink. I did mask the word you so that it fit better on the strip. I then flagged the end with the new Banners Pick a Punch in the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog. This is similar to the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch as it also creates multiple sizes of tags. After I flagged the end, I added it to the sunflower flap with Mini Dimensionals. I tied a small bow in the Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon and added it to the end of the tag with a Mini Glue Dot. For my bling, I add two of the 2020/2022 In Color Enamel Dots in Misty Moonlight.

For the inside, I stamped the small sunflower in Bumble Bee ink, stamped off, on the lower right corner and the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink.

I really like how the sentiment hugs the sunflower. Just a different way to stamp your inside layer. So what do you think? It’s not a very complicated card at all, but it looks beautiful with that sunflower! If you would like to order any of these items, just head over to my online store to shop. The easiest way is to just click on any of the photos, which is linked right to my store with a shopping list of everything you need to create this card. When you check out, be sure to add Host Code DXTZ3T2A and when your order is $40.00 or more, I’ll send you a brand new embellishment form the new mini catalog! We all love getting happy mail!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a beautiful Thursday!
