Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a good start. I know I’ve been MIA the last few days. I ave been working in my studio getting things cleaned up and setting up my new Murphy Desk that my hubby made for me. My last desk was one I had in my scraproom and it had over 10 years worth of “stuff” in it! lol Typical scrapper, I never threw anything away!! So, I had to go through all of that and rearrange some stuff as this new desk doesn’t have quite the foot print the other one had. Here’s some pictures of it when we first moved it into the studio.
I absolutely love this desk! The best part, is I can now add one more table with 4 more chairs to have even bigger classes!! So it was all a win-win! I will post more pictures when I get done rearranging everything.
So today’s project is a last look at the February Paper Pumpkin that coordinated with the Happy Birthday to You Sale-a-bration stamp set. And since tomorrow is the last day to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin for the March kit, I thought it was good to take another look. Remember, the March kit is our 7th Anniversary Kit and it will have 2 stamp sets in it!! Back to today’s card…here are the measurements for the card:
- Card base in Thick Whisper White cardstock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/14″
- Paper Pumpkin card base cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Pool Party cardstock cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″
I really loved the pattern of this Paper Pumpkin card base and knew I was going to cut it down. I went with a Pool Party layer and stamped the image in Pretty Peacock ink and then glued it to the Paper Pumpkin layer and then both to the card front. The sentiment layer is actually the negative for one of the layers in the kit, so I stamped the flower image in Pool Party and the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink. I love those for contrasting colors. The Pretty Peacock reminds me a little of the retired Island Indigo, which I always paired with Pool Party. I added dimensionals to the back of the circle and and then added it to the card front. I found the sequins on my desk, so I assume they were from another kit, but I thought they went perfectly with the card. I added them to the card front with Mini Glue Dots from the kit and called it done! Less then 5 minutes from start to finish! My kind of card!
