Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! Today is a pretty big day….it’s not only the last CASE-ing Tuesday of September, but it’s also the first day of fall!!! Woo hoo!!! I don’t know about you, but I am ready for the season to change!! So, have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see what we’re casing (copy and share everything) this week? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a cute card? I wasn’t exactly ready to create a Christmas card yet, and since it is the first day of fall, I just had to welcome it in!

I followed the measurements in the sketch, which really helps when you’re creating in a hurry, but I added an extra layer in Whisper White to help the plaid pop. I started with a Cajun Craze card base and chose my plaid from the Plaid Tidings DSP pack, which has to be one of my favorites!!! I glued it to a 3 1/8″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Whisper White and then added the Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding ribbon. I love how the white just offsets all the rust colors of Cajun Craze and Cinnamon Cider. I glued it right down to the card base with some Stampin’ Seal. Next I took out a scrap of the new Brushed Metallic paper in gold and cut out two of the leaves from the Gathered Leaves dies. I die cut another scrap of Whisper White with one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies and then stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Autumn stamp set. I think this sentiment speaks volumes and just had to use it! I attached the leaves to the back of the label with Mini Glue Dots and then added some dimensionals and attached it to the card front. For the bling I used the new Wonderful Gems which is actually an embellishment pack from a Christmas suite of products. I love that they coordinate with fall projects too!

For the inside I cut a scrap of Whisper White down to 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ and then stamped the big leaf from the Gather Together stamp set on the lower left in Cajun Craze, stamped off. I also stamped my envelope with this same stamp – no naked envelopes!! This bundle is actually a returning favorite from last year and with the bundle pricing too, so you save 10% when you purchase it!!! Woo hoo!!! I stamped the sentiment from that stamp set as well in Cajun Craze and then glued it to the inside of the card.

Isn’t it great to be able to coordinate multiple stamp sets and embellishments? It really helps your stash go a long way. Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the FB Group. You can create it exactly as it is or change it up a little or a lot; it’s all up to you! That’s what makes casing so much fun! And don’t worry if you aren’t a member of the group, just request to join – we would love to have you come over and play along. We are now over 3000 in members, so you will be surrounded by a lot of inspiration!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope this first day of fall is a happy one for you. Take care!
