Welcome to a very special CASE-ing Tuesday – on a Saturday! I have been down with the flu and was afraid I wasn’t going to make it this week, but, I did! And so glad I did because this week we celebrated casing number 500!! That’s over 9 1/2 years of casing cards from the Stampin’ Up! Catalogs and that is a lot of casings!! Since it’s such a special week, we have two givieaways too. I’ll tell yu more about that at the end of this post. Isn’t that a pretty card? And I love that we have sketches – it really helps make creativity go smoothly, especially when you’re in a hurry or in a mojo slump. As you can see, I used the same product for my take, except for just a few changes.
I followed the measurements from the sketch for my card, except my piece of Wildflower Birthday Specialty DSP measures 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. I started with a Blueberry Bushel card base. My first layer is a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock that I embossed with the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder. I really love subtleness of this folder. I added it to the card base with Stampin Seal and attached my DSP layer with more Seal. Instead of the die cut, I chose one of the die cuts from the paper pack. I added it to the card with dimensionals. I decided to use the smallest banner die from the Nested Essentials set. I stamped my sentiment from the Birthday Celebration stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink. The you is actually your, so I masked the ‘r’ before inking the word. I then added the banner with some Seal, tucking it under the flowers making it look like it’s part of a bouquet. I sprinkled on some of the Party Dots for my bling, but thought it needed a pop of gold like in the die cut. I cut a little piece of the Gold Open Weave Trim, folded it in half and added it under the flowers with a bit of Multipurpose Glue. I LOVE how it all turned out!!
For the inside, I had a piece of 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White that I stamped the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel and added a 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of the DSP.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I added some of that same DSP to the flap, but the side I added it with the side that has the gorgeous foiling on it. I though it went well with the die cut to tie the whole project together.
