Hello and happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a great weekend and your week is off to a good start. In case you haven’t been by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see what we are casing (copy and share everything), here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
As you can see, I changed up my take quite a bit.
This didn’t turn out exactly like what I had planned, but I like how it turned out. I started with a Summer Splash card base that was created to the measurements. Since I was creating the tote, my back layer had to be larger, so it actually measures 3 3/4″ x 5″. I used my blending brushes and Crumb Cake, Strawberry Slush, Balmy Blue and Secret Sea inks and the thought was to create it more on a diagonal like the sketch, but….it didn’t turn out that way. So the plan was to cut that layer in a diagonal….as you can see, I forgot that step. oops! I did stamp the speckle image on the Crumb Cake layer to create the sand. I die cut the tote in a piece of the Floral Bloom DSP and Secret Sea cardstock, the sunglasses in Basic Black and Summer Splash, the water bottle in Summer Splash and the, what I think is a tablet, in Pool Party and Basic White cardstocks. For the water bottle, I inked the edges and the top and stamped the water dropets in Summer Splash ink and stamped the sentiment on the tablet in Secret Sea. I know it doesn’t show very well and looking back, I probably should have had that setting next to the tote. Then I die cut the star fish in Peach Pie cardstock. I added everything to the card front with dimensionals and sprinkled on a few of the 2025/2027 In Color Flat Pearls for my bling.
For the inside I stamped the sentiment in Secret Sea ink and the droplets in Summer Splash inks on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White. Doesn’t that font look like someone actually wrote it?
And then stamped the sentiment and droplets on the envelope flap.
