When I first saw this card in the mini catalog in January, I thought it was a super cute card. While it’s a cute card, I was struggling with my mojo this week, so I went the lazy route.
As you can see, I didn’t really go with the multiple punched layers. This past weekend I held my monthly Scrap Club and played with the Everyday You & Me Scrapbooking Workshop Kit. Since I had my kit still on the table, I decided to use some of the leftover DSP and the Everyday You & Me Bundle that coordinates with that kit. I love that we can use scrapbooking stamps and dies for cardmaking! I started with a Pool Party card base and went with a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the Everyday Happiness DSP that I attached to the front with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I then stamped my sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and punched it out with the Modern Oval Punch I then stamped two of the leaves in the set with Pretty Peacock, stamping off first, and then die cut them with the coordinating die. I attached them to the back of my sentimen with Mini Glue Dots and added it all to the front with dimensionals. I sprinkled on some of the Blooming Pearls in Pretty Peacock for my bling.
For the inside, I stamped another sentiment on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White. I stamped the flower image, also in Pretty Peacock ink but stamping off first.
And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I added some more of that beautiful paper to the envelope flap. Doesn’t it tie everything together?
