Case-ing Tuesday Portrait Templates – 165

Isn’t that an adorable card? Since this is the last week of Sale-a-bration, I thought I’d use the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle because the stamp set was added to the second release of product and I got it for FREE! We all love those freebies during Sale-a-bration!! It made a getting the entire bundle more affordable for me since all I had to get was the hybrid die set.

I followed all of the measurements from the sketch when I created my card, so it went together pretty fast. I started with a Balmy Blue card base and added a piece of the Beautiful Bokeh SP for my first layer. If you know me, you know that yellow and blue is one of my very favorite color combinations, so you know this sheet makes my heart happy! After I trimmed my scrap of Basic White to the measurements, I ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with that beautiful embossing folder. Now, I don’t know about you, but the butterflies in my world just have to be sparkly! So I colored the embossed images with lots of Wink of Stella. Once it dried, I added it to the card with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. Next I had a scrap of the white glimmer paper from the Berry Burst, Old Olive White Specialty Glimmer Paper, so I die cut three of the butterfiles and the bodies in Basic Black. I assembled them with Mini Glue Dots and then added them to card front with more Mini Glue Dots. I stamped my sentiment in Memento Ink on the smallest label in the die set and added it to the card with dimensionals. I had a black twine bow in my box of scraps, so I added that with another Mini Glue Dot. The black bodies of the butterflies looked a little drab to me, so I added some of the smallest rhinestones. Like I said, butterflies have to be sparkly!!!

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Memento on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White and attached it to the inside. I then stamped one of the butterflies on the envelope just above where I’ll adress it and then stamped the butterfly on just above the sentiment on the inside layer.

Isn’t that fun? Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to create your way with your style! We can’t wait to see your creations!!!
