Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! Hope your week is off to a good start. If this is your first time visiting my corner of the globe, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here! Have you stopped by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a beautiful card? Since Stampin’ Up! just launched some new Online Exclusives, I decided to use one of the new bundles. I chose the Hearts of Elegance Bundle.

I know what you’re thinking – it’s too soon for Valentine’s day!!! But it is never too soon to remind those we love how we really feel. I followed the measurements from the sketch for everything, except the lite 2 1/2″ x 1/2″ strip. I really didn’t want to detract from that gorgeous Specialty DSP. Remember the ocean specialty DSP we had a couple of years ago with all the blues printed in swirls with gold in it? This is just like it only using reds and pinks in lieu of the blues! I used the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder on a piece of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Real Red and then attached it to a Real Red card base with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I don’t really like embossing the actual card front as I feel it impedes the integrity of the card base. I trimmed my two strips, one in Basic White cardstock and one in the gorgeous Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink, added Seal to the back so that I could add some of the beautiful new Gold Twisted Thread to it. I attached both strips to the card front and then the gold foil heart die cut that I cut from a scrap of Gold Foil. The heart is added with dimensionals and then I added one of the new Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins.

For the inside, I stamped my sentiment on a 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Basic White, added another strip of the DSP and attached it to the inside. Since the heart sequins are flat, I added another to the inside layer.

And of course the envelope flap was the perfect place to stamp the XOXO!

Doesn’t that make the perfect I Love You card??? Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample or sketch and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to create it your way with your style.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a great week and we look forward to seeing your creations in the group!
