Hello and welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! It’s been a minute since I played along with the group. I took a couple of weeks off preparing and unpacking from my Creative Escape Weekend I held on the 4th and 5th. We had a great time and now it’s back to work! lol I am so glad you stopped by my site today. If this is your first time, please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you had a chance to visit the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

I followed the sketch pretty closely for my take, just exchanging the sizes of the sentiment labels.

I decided to dust off my Sparkling Snowflakes stamp set this week. I started with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base in Pretty Peacock cardstock. I randomly stamped two different snowflake images in Pretty Peacock ink to get a tone-on-tone effect. I die cut my label with the Countryside Corners die in Basic White and then embossed it with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. To make the snowflakes pop on the white, I lightly ran one of my Blending Brushes over it with Pool Party ink. I added it to the card with dimensionals and then worked on the sentiment labels. Since my sentiment was so short, I decided to shorten that layer to 3″ x 1″ in Pool Party cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink. Next I trimmed a scrap of Pretty Peacock to 1/2″ x 4″, flagged the ends and added it to the larger label with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I added both to the card front with dimensionals. I added a twine bow with a Mini Glue Dot and sprinkled on some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to really make it sparkle.

For the inside, I stamped the corner of a 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Basic White in stamped off Pool Party ink. I also stamped two of the corners in Pretty Peacock ink behind the white layer, but it’s hard to see in the photo. I didn’t stamp a sentiment so I can add the perfect sentiment later.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I stamped the snowflakes in Pool Party ink and the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink.

Now it’s your turn! Create your take and share it with us over on the Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun of casing – you get to make it your way. And with our sketches, you don’t have to guess at any measurements, which makes creating even easier!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. It feels good to get back to “normal” in the studio. If there’s anything I used today that you would like to add to your stash, I would love it if you shopped with me. You can head over to my online store here. Have a great rest of your Tuesday!!
