Good morning and Happy CASE-ing Tuesday!! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time visiting my little neck of the woods, welcome and please be sure to join my email list. Have you been over to the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a cute card? Since it was a Christmas card this week, I thought I would create one too using the Sentimental Wishes stamp set and Sentimental Christmas DSP. And did you know that for every pack of this paper or suite that is purchased, Stampin’ Up! will be donating $3.00 to organizations that are dedicated to children’s literacy around the world? What a great way to support these organizations!! Now let’s look at the card.

I absolutely love this paper and it’s retro feel and couldn’t wait to use it. I started with a Shaded Spruce card base and then followed the measurements except for the larger DSP layer. There’s something about cutting the paper at 4 1/4″ width that I just can’t do! lol So mine is cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and layered on a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Basic White to really brighten it up. I trimmed my scrap of Poppy Parade to the measurements and attached it to the card front. The piece of DSP I used for the top layer is the other side of the striped layer. I then chose Balmy Blue for my sentiment label, stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink. I flagged the ends with the retired Pick-a-Banner Punch, added some Stampin’ Seal Adhesive to the back to add a piece of that gorgeous Shaded Spruce Ribbon and attached it all to the card with dimensionals. The bling is part of the suite called Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments.

For the inside, I stamped my sentiment on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White and added a 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ strip of the DSP to tie it to the card front.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I stamped the image off twice so that the sentiment would pop – both in Shaded Spruce ink.

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. We would love to have you join us this week! You can create it just like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to make it with your style!
