Happy CASE-ing Tuesday! If this is your first time stopping by, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. So, have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group yet this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at this week’s sample and sketch:

Isn’t that a fun card? This week I decided to use the Tune In Bundle that I just received a week or two ago.

I had so much fun with this! I purchased this bundle during the Bundle Sale last month for the sole purpose of using it for a scrapbooking page. I have a photo from the early 50’s of my mom that will go perfect with this set. Of course I haven’t scrapped it yet, but that’s okay. It will get done! 😛

Let’s get back to the card. I followed all of the measurements from the sketch for my card. I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base. My DSP or patterned paper is actually from the Lily Pond pack and is in the Peach Pie color. I thought that was the perfect contrast to my card base. I stamped the television in Memento ink and colored it with Pecan Pie, Smoky Slate and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends, our version of alcohol markers I thought the screen was a little dark when I finished coloring it, so I used the Color Lifter Blends Marker to lighten it up. I then die cut it with the coordinating dies. I also die cut some Silver Foil for the antenna and the knobs. I stamped my sentiment in Memento ink at the bottom of the white layer and then attached it to the patterned paper and to the card front with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I added the television and antenna with dimensionals. The sentiment on the screen is a 1/2″ strip of Basic White and is attached with more Seal. I decided to bring in some Old Olive as an accent color, so I die cut the diamonds and the star image, which is used on the inside. Looking back, I should have colored the screen with the Old Olive Blends, but I was not going to redo it at that point. lol I added the diamonds with Mini Glue Dots and 3 of the smaller rhinestones for bling.

For the inside, I stamped my sentiment on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White in Memento and attached it to the inside. I added a 1″ x 3 3/4″ strip of the DSP and the little die cut piece.

Then the last strip of the DSP that was left after creating the card fit perfectly to my envelope. Remember – no naked envelopes!!

Isn’t that fun? So 70’s!! We would love it if you played along with us this week. All you have to do is create your take on this week’s sample card or sketch and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it exactly like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – you make it your way with your style!
