Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a good start. If this is your first time stopping by my neck of the woods, welcome and please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you been by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Isn’t that a fun card? As simple as the sketch and sample are, I really struggled with this one this week. I followed th sketch with a couple of changes.

Last week Stampin’ Up! released new items available and the Delightfully Eclectic DSP pack is one of those items. When I saw this week’s sketch, I thought I would try to incorporate that paper into my card. I started with a Misty Moonlight card base that is cut to 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. Next I chose a scrap of Vellum cardstock for my layer. I didn’t like the 3 1/2″ x 5″ size, so I trimmed mine to 3 3/4″ x 5″ to fit the card better. I embossed with the polka dot embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folder set. I trimmed my DSP pieces and added them to the Vellum layer with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. To hide my adhesive under the vellum, I added my adhesive following the lines of the DSP and then added it to the card front. I then die cut my circle with a die from the Stylish Shapes Die set and stamped the flower image from the Inspirational Sketches stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink. I added a piece of the Night of Navy ink ribbon on the back of the circle with Seal, added dimensionals and attached it to the card front. I decided to add a dragonfly for my “any shape” layer, and pulled out the Dragonfly Punch, which was also added to the Sale-a-bration list of freebies! I thought the large dragonfly overpowered the circle, so I chose the little one. I punched out a scrap of Night of Navy and some vellum and attached them together with a Mini Glue and then added it to the circle with another Mini Glue Dot. For my sentiment strip I had a 1/2″ of Crushed Curry cardstock in my scraps, so I stamped a portion of the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink and snipped the ends. For my bling, I added some of the yellow Glossy Dots.

For the inside, I had a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock that I trimmed to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and stamped my sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink. I added a 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ strip of DSP and then another scrap of ribbon over it. I then attached everything with Seal.

Don’t forget to decorate your envelope. I stamped the flowers again in Misty Moonlight ink. I just love this stamp set!! The depth in the images is stunning!

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample or the sketch and then share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up a little or a lot. That’s the fun part, you get to create your way!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you. If you want to see more fun with this pack of Sale-a-bration paper, be sure to come back this afternoon. I will be having my Facebook Live with a couple of more cards and an adorable scrapbook layout. Have a great Tuesday!!
