Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday!! How’s your week going? If this is your first time stopping by my little world, welcome! And be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy news around here. Have you been by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group to see what we are casing (copy and share everything) this week? If not, here’s a look at the sample from the catalog and the sketch:

Each time a new catalog is launched, each of the bloggers on the CT Team get to choose a card to case and this is the one I chose. If you know me, you know that my husband is a drummer in a band, so this card caught my eye right away.  🙂 But as you can see, I went a different path this week.

This week I wanted to showcase the Flight & Airy DSP and thought it went perfectly with the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle. When I created my take for the week I didn’t have the sketch with all of the measurements, so my DSP layer actually measures 3 3/4″ x 5″, which I do like better. I started with a Crumb Cake card base and then chose my DSP. I always like any of our blues with Crumb Cake, so I thought the Balmy Blue layer looked good. I attached my layers with Stampin’s Seal and then decided on my die cut layer. I went with one of the paper butterflies from the Perennial Lavendar Suite and decided to sponge on some Balmy Blue on my butterfly with a Blending Brush and then added Wink of Stella over the entire butterfly. After seeing that the butterfly got lost in the DSP, I decided to ditch the sentiment strip and die cut one of the larger label to include the sentiment and the butterfly. I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake and added the butterfly with a little bit of Multipurpose Glue. I added the label to the card front with dimensionals and sprinkled on some of the Festive Pearls in silver.

For the inside I stamped my sentiment, also in Crumb Cake ink on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White, added 1/2″ strip of the DSP to the layer and attached it to the inside.

And don’t forget to decorate your envelope! I added more of that pretty DSP to the flap.

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to create it your way.

Did you know you can get that pretty paper for FREE? That’s right! It’s Sale-a-bration at Stampin’ Up! and that means for every $50.00 you spend, you get to chose an item from the Sale-a-bration Catalog for FREE! If you’d like to see more on this, just head over to my online store here. I have to say, this year Stampin’ Up! has outdone themselves in the adorable product department!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I was able to inspire you this week. Want to see even more ideas using this product? Come back this afternoon after 1:00 and see what I create on my Facebook Live. You can watch it here at 1:00 PT. Have a great afternoon!
