Happy Tuesday and first CASE-ing Tuesday of 2024! I hope you had a wonderful New Year’s celebration. I prefer hanging out at home for New Year’s, although we did go out to dinner.  🙂  Have you had a chance to visit the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:

Case-ing Tuesday Portrait Templates – 86

Isn’t that a cute card? Since the new Jan-April Catalog is going live on Thursday, I decided to use some new product, part of the new Perennial Lavendar Suite of product. I also chose my product because my first Facebook Live of the year is this afternoon and it will be featuring the December Paper Pumpkin and this product will coordinate with the January Paper Pumpkin.

I followed all the measurements in the sketch for my card for everything except the sentiment label. My label measures 1″ x 2 3/4″ to fit my sentiment. I started with a Crumb Cake card base and used a sheet of the DSP from the Perennial Lavendar pack. It’s actually the same sheet for both layers, front and back. I attached them with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. I had a scrap of Vellum cardstock that I trimmed to the 3″ x 4″ measurments and then rounded the right corners with the Very Best Trio Punch. I added it to the base with more seal. I love that you can’t see the adhesive through the vellum! Then I trimmed a scrap of Fresh Freesia for my sentiment label and stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set in Highland Heather ink. I added it to the card with dimensionals. This suite of product comes with a pack of paper die cut butterflies that are all white. I started with the large one first and using a blending brush I added Fresh Freesia and Lost Lagoon inks. I didn’t like the white body, so I colored it with a Basic Black Stampin’ Blends Marker. I took a smaller one and decided to leave it white to bring our the white flowers on the DSP, but again, wasn’t sure about the body and colored it with the black marker. Still not sure I like the black body, but I didn’t want to discard either of the butterflies. Before I added them both to the card with Mini Glue Dots, I colored them both with some Wink of Stella. For my bling I added some of the new gorgeous Purple Shimmer Gems.

For the inside, I trimmed a scrap of Basic White to 3 3/4″ x 5″, rounded the corners like the vellum and stamped the sentiment in Highland Heather. I then added a 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ strip of the DSP just above the rounded corner and then attached it all to the inside of the card.

And for the envelope, I stamped the butterflies from the Painted Lavendar stamp set. The two stamp and coordinating die sets go hand-in-hand. The Perennial Postage stamp set is the sentiments and labels set and the Painted Lavendar is the images and coordinating die set. Trust me, it’s one you’re going to want to add to your stash!

Now it’s your turn. Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up; it’s all up to you. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to make your way.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you and that if you get the chance to get inky this week, you’ll share your creation with us. Be sure to come back this afternoon to see my post from my Facebook Live. I’ll be going live at 1:00 to play with the December Paper Pumpkin Kit over on my Scraps by Sissy Facebook Page. If you can’t catch it live, you’ll be able to watch the replay on my YouTube Channel. Have a great rest of your week!
