Welcome to another CASE-ing Tuesday, and the first one for December! I hope your week is going well. If this is your first time stopping by my little blog, please be sure to join my email list to keep up on all the scrappy things going on around here. Have you had a chance to stop by the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group this morning to see what we are casing (copy and share everything)? If not, here’s a look at the sample and the sketch:
Isn’t that a cute card? I love the bundle they used in the sample! Since I am done with my Christmas cards, I decided to play with that gorgeous Beautiful Floral DSP. It coordinates with the Translucent Floral Bundle, but I chose to pair it with the Timeless Arrangements Bundle.
I followed the measurements for my piece of DSP, but my sentiment labels are die cut from the coordinating dies to match the size of the sentiments. I started with a Thick Basic White cardbase and attached my piece of DSP with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive. To really make this beautiful piece of DSP pop even more, I added Wink of Stella to all of the flowers. Next I die cut my labels, one in Pretty Peacock and the other in Basic White cardstocks. I stamped my sentiment in Berry Burst ink and attached them with Seal and added to the card front with dimensionals. I had a white twine bow in my box of leftovers, so I added it with a Mini Glue Dot. Then for more sparkle, I sprinkled on some rhinestones. I wish you see the shimmer from the Wink of Stella – it is just stunning.
For the inside, I stamped the sentimen, also in Berry Burst ink and then added a 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ strip of the DSP.
And how could you not add more of that DSP to the envelope to tie it all together?
By using the DSP for my layer, it really makes for a sweet and simple kind of card – my favorite! Now it’s your turn! Create your take on this week’s sample and share it with us over at the Facebook Group. You can create it just like the sample or change it up. That’s the fun part of casing – you get to make it your way. We would love to have you come over and play along!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope I was able to inspire you enough to get inky with us this week. I know it’s getting to be a really busy time of year, but what better way to take a break from the craziness then to play with stamps, inks and paper? Have a great week!
